The handbook is a great tool for accessing information, communicating and discovering new knowledge. However, the Internet also has many potential risks and pitfalls. The “Online Safety” handbook, provided by the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) in collaboration with Google, will provide specific instructions to help Vietnamese people use the Internet safely and effectively.

Within the framework of the “Online Safety” program, under the chairmanship and coordination of the Department of Information Security, the handbook is publicly posted on the National Cyberspace Portal website (khonggianmang.vn) and spread to 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Also within the campaign under the coordination of the Department of Information Security, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) directed the Thanh Giong Knowledge Portal to coordinate with the Center for Family Health and Community Development (CFC) to organize a training program for Youth to support the elderly in preventing harmful information on cyberspace.

The handbook is also used in training sessions, sharing online safety knowledge with key youth in 63 provinces and cities. From there, youth can guide the elderly to use the Internet more safely and help narrow the gap between generations, creating a safe, healthy and beneficial internet environment for all ages.
