Program to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day 2024

October 10th of each year is chosen by the Government as National Digital Transformation Day to accelerate the implementation of national digital transformation tasks, raise awareness among people and society about the role, significance and benefits of digital transformation. At the same time, promote the participation of the entire political system, synchronous actions at all levels and the participation of the entire population to ensure the success of digital transformation.

In 2024, national digital transformation has the theme: "Developing the digital economy with 4 pillars: Information technology industry, digitalization of economic sectors, digital governance, digital data - Important driving force for fast and sustainable socio-economic development". This is the 3rd consecutive year that the Program to celebrate National Digital Transformation Day has taken place. This important event demonstrates the determination of the Party, the State, the political system, the business community and the people of the whole country to join hands in national digital transformation, developing the digital economy, digital society and digital citizens.

At the program, leaders of the Government, leaders of ministries, branches and organizations had a dialogue with businesses and typical members of the community digital technology group to promote digital transformation. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend, an objective requirement, a strategic choice, a top priority for rapid and sustainable development; it is the cause of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people, contributing to realizing the aspiration of building a strong and prosperous country, a prosperous and happy people, leaving no one behind in the new era - the era of national development.

According to the Prime Minister, in order to combine the strength of the nation and the strength of the times, internal and external strength, it is impossible to stand outside the general trend of the world. Reality shows that our country is on the right track with a focus on promoting digital transformation, green transformation, and infrastructure development. In particular, digital transformation has brought very clear benefits to the country and the people. Pointing out three breakthroughs in digital transformation: digital institutions, digital infrastructure, and digital people, the Prime Minister noted that this requires active participation, especially from leaders at all levels and sectors. At the same time, there must be no shortage of electricity or telecommunications signals, especially in remote areas. The Prime Minister suggested that it is necessary to fully, objectively, and accurately assess the results achieved in national digital transformation in 2024, especially in the digital economy; propose strategic orientations, viewpoints, tasks, and key solutions on digital transformation and digital economic development in the coming time so that in a short time we can go a long way.
